What does it mean to be Reformed? The word “reformed” means “to transform” or “renew”. To be Reformed then basically means to be transformed or renewed according to the Word of God. In the 16th century John Calvin wrote that reformation was necessary in order to restore the true worship of God, to articulate more precisely the doctrine of salvation, and to restore the true doctrine of the sacraments and of the church. We believe that the necessity of reforming the church continues in the 21st century. The church still needs to be reformed according to the Word of God.
Albuquerque Reformed Church (Previously Covenant of Grace Church) is a church that adheres and promotes the on-going need for reformation. We live in a confused time which is reflected in the fragmentation of the church. If you would like to know more about what it means to be Reformed in doctrine and life, come and visit us.
We sing both Psalms and hymns. We use the Book of Psalms for Singing published by Crown and Covenant Publications. We also use the Trinity Hymnal, revised edition.
We are currently working through the book of 1 Peter. If you would like to listen to a sermon you can find them when you click on the Sermons tab or come by for a visit. We would love to get to know you. For information call 505-363-3610 or go to our Contact Us page.
